Scenes showing cadet instruction in classroom theory, practical seamanship, navigation, signaling, squad drill, life saving, etc.~Part 2. The Birth of a Standard Ship. Shipbuilding scenes and the launch of a standard tanker. Female dockyard labour, shoveling coal, cleaning slips and moving railcars. Armstrong Whitworth workers. Officers serving in the Army Supply Corps. Arrival of a hospital ship and disembarkation of the wounded. Troopship leaves harbour.~Part 3. The Work at the National Docks. Various cargoes unloaded - grain, meat, sugar, wool, timber, etc. General view of the docks and ships alongside.~Part 4. The Toll of the Sea. Trawlers at sea and in port. Panorama across fleet anchorage taken from forward gunnery control of HMS Canada. Scenes on board the battleship. King George V and senior naval officers, merchant officers and crews. <75mn>
