It shows: Newsreel story title Crisis - Question of National Credit. British Conservative Leader Baldwin discussing Britain's financial problems in 1931 (a matter of confidence in the pound sterling and British trade); Baldwin wants foreign investment to stop; compares inflation in Germany to what could happen in England; Paramount News report with title Ottawa Envoy Home. Southampton-Ottawa Empire Bonds Strenghtened. Mr. Baldwin and Colleagues Return from Imperial Economic Conference. Final Ottawa Scenes: Rousing speeches by Baldwin and R.B. Bennett. Excerpt of speech by Baldwin. R.B. Bennett's speech at the close of the Ottawa Conference in 1932; News excerpt with title Bennett Home to Canada, with optical track.
