Fox as Chief of Transportation, Canadian National Railways, and as Director of Transportation, Civil Defence Branch, Department of National Health and Welfare. The following events and activities are documented: the shipment to Britain, via Canadian National Railways, of squared timber from the J.R. Booth Company's Limits, Egan Estate, Ont., 1925-1926; railway station decorated for the Pembroke Centennial, Pembroke, Ont., 1928; a U.S. civil defence evacuation exercise, Bangor, Me., 1955; Exercise Jeff, a civil defence training exercise, Ponoka and Edmonton, Alta., 1956; a civil defence radioactivity training exercise, Ottawa, Ont., 1956; Operation Hot Flash, a civil defence training exercise, Allentown, Pa., 1957; Civil Defence Day, Moncton, N.B., 1957; a civil defence training exercise, Canadian Civil Defence College, Arnprior, Ont., 1958.
