Jackson, longtime president of the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers union (UE) about the history of the UE. Jackson talks about the union's opposition to the Marshall Plan and the relationship of the UE with the media. He continues with a discussion of the internal strife within the UE and among its officers and the decline in interest in trade unionism among younger workers in the 1960s. His limited participation in the Communist Party of Canada is also touched on. Jackson continues with his extensive interest in reading, his interest in a biography, and his papers.
