Description :

Based on a true story, an incident which occurred in the United States in 1968. (An article in a "Philosophy of Law" book served as the inspiration for the story). A young girl was planning to go to a military dance with her friend. Her strict parents allowed her to go on the understanding that she return home early. However, she met a soldier and spent the night with him. Upon returning home the next day, her father was so upsent that he took the girl, her mother, and the dog she had owned for two years, into a field by their home. He ordered the girl to dig a hole. He then ordered the mother to hold the dog down, and gave the daughter a gun with which to shoot the dog - as punishment for what she had done. The action taken by the girl at that moment was truly shocking and resulted in fierce debate in legal and philosophical circles. <25mn 15s>
