Collection consists of a documentary film clip on the Christian Summer Camp on Lake Manitou, a video recording of the obituary of filmmaker Budge Crawley, and a sound recording of Bill O'Farrell Jr. being interviewed on CKCU-FM about the National Archives' restoration of the Flaherty Brothers' film collection., Collection also consists of two photographs of the Vancouver Lions Champions Pacific Coast Hockey League of 1928-1929 and the Women's Basketball Team of Sarnia Collegiate Institute in 1912 purchased from William and Janice O'Farrell in 2008 and three posters, one composite photograph and one hockey card donated by Janice O'Farrell in 2008.

O'Farrell, William S. (1954-2008) : William S. O'Farrell, Chief of Moving Image and Audio Conservation at the National Archives of Canada, began his career in the field of moving images with Crawley Films and the federal Urban Affairs department of film production. In 1975 he joined the National Archives of Canada as a film vault technician. Soon after he was asked to look after copying projects at outside laboratories. These duties were eventually expanded to include the management of all film preservation projects at the National Archives and outside laboratories. During his tenure at the National Archives, O'Farrell has overseen numerous film restoration projects including the restoration and preservation of: 550 reels excavated from Dawson City, Yukon Territories; the Flaherty collection of vintage 1896 Edison nitrate; 106 Canadian Army Newsreels; and the oldest surviving copy of the Canadian feature film Back to God's Country. He has also lectured at conferences and seminars, given numerous workshops, and written on the subject of audio-visual preservation. O'Farrell is an active member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). Among the positions held with AMIA, he has been a member of the executive board and chair of the preservation committee. In 1997 he received a Film Preservation Honors from the Anthology Film Archives, New York, in recognition of his dedication and work in the field of film and video preservation. 1997 Anthology Film Archives Film Preservation Honors presentation schedule, 25 February 1997. He died on August 30th, 2008.
