Accession consists of textual records, photographs and artwork The textual record includes a mix of personal and official correspondence, memoranda, diary extracts arranged chronologically to reflect the series organization found in the fonds. Many of the textual records were removed from the fonds during the preparation of Pearson's biography and their original location can no longer be traced.
The accession also consists of flag designs, consisting of works on paper and flags made of fabric submitted to Pearson during the flag debate. These designs reflect the involvement of Canadian citizens in determing the new Canadian flag.
The photographs document Pearson on the campaign trail, and at the 1957 Bermuda Conference. There is also one photo of the Bowles family, ca. 1913.
Accession consists of a mix of personal and official correspondence, memoranda and diary extracts arranged chronologically to reflect the series organization found in the fonds. Nominal files primarily contain correspondence, while subject files tend to contain memoranda and reports. Much of the material in the accession was removed from the fonds during the preparation of Pearson's biography and their original location can no longer be traced.

Note sur la description matérielle :

Graphic (art): Watercolours are on paper and cardboard (light card, in some cases bristol board), primarily executed in gouache and watercolour. The flags are made of various types of fabric, some appear to have colour added by silkscreen techniques, and some have had appliqués of fabric and paper attached to them.

Note sur l'état de conservation :

Graphic (art): Some works on paper are only in fair condition because they have been rolled during extended storage. Some paper or cardboard supports are brittle and have crease folds. The flags in some cases are dirty and faded and some possibly have weakened fibres. In general however they are in good condition.

Note sur l'étendue originelle :

1.05 m of textual records, 10 watercolours, 10 artifacts and 22 photographs.
