Episode six of the radio drama series "District 58" features John Chara, a Montreal City Councillor. Chara becomes involved in a bitter dispute between his mother Sophia and Chris. Each accuses the other of trying to run the other out of business by spreading rumours that Sophia's store is infested with cockroaches and Chris' store has rats. Chara, caught in the middle of accusations and counteraccusations, learns that a neighbourhood woman, the sister-in-law of the owner of another nearby grocery store, was the only person who allegedly saw the cockroaches and rats and was trying to ruin both Sophia and Chris in favour of her brother-in-law.
