Fonds consists of 34 cm of textual records related to Michael Madesker's work with the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC). The fonds also consists of architectural drawings documenting the floor plan of the CAPEX 1978 plilatelic exhibition, promotional posters advertising Toronto Stampex - 74, unused sample award medals, posters, show cards, a cloth badge, and 1 strip of labels. The fonds is divided into the following series: Administration and Policy (1986-1992); Correspondence (1971-1992); Exhibitions (1981-1992); Philatelic Judges and Apprentices (1978-1991); and, RPSC Research Foundation (1986-1992).

Madesker, Michael (1925-2021) : Michael Madesker was from Northeastern Europe and was fluent in many languages. He was married and lived in Toronto with his three children. Mr. Madesker became interested in philately as a small child. His collecting included Canadian booklets, parcel posts, and the Holy Land. He was actively involved in philately and was one of the founders of the Canadian Association of Israel Philately, as well as past-president of the Society of Israel Philatelists.

Michael Madesker ran the youth program for the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada (RPSC) and organized the first International Youth Exhibition held in Toronto in 1982. During the year of 1973, he organized STAMPEX '74 and in 1984, he juried the National Exhibiton in Montreal. He was the President of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie Youth Commission and a former President of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada. In 2000, Madesker signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists.

Madesker died in December 2021.
