President Kennedy reports to the nation about his trip to Europe where he visited Paris, London, and Vienna. In Paris he met with General DeGaulle, in London with Prime Minister MacMillan, and in Vienna with Khrushchev. He now describes to the nation how friendly were his relations with these leader, and he wastes no time in being congratulatory. On the other hand, he wastes no effort in outlining his difference of opinion with Nikita Khrushchev. Kennedy mentions "the threat of communism", insists on the need for economic aid to improvished nations in order to combat the spread of communist ideology.~President Kennedy speaks about the deadlock at the Geneva Conference set up to deal with banning nuclear tests (on ground), above why Premier Khrushchev opposes the ban proposal, about American need for access to West Berlin, and about Krushchev's pride and optimism in the communist system.
