Canada. Dept. of National Defence. Development Integrated Logistics Program : The "Development Integrated Logistics Program" (DEVIL Program) was initiated after the unification of the Forces and was completed in 1971. As described in DEFENSE 1971, the intention of the program was to "bring together and modernize three inventory systems of the former individual services [...]". The DEVIL program "enables all bases to use the same procedures for demanding and distributing supplies. Moreover, by using central computer records of items being repaired and overhauled, managers can more efficiently determine the quantity and urgency of such repairs, resulting in better service to Forces". The integrated system reduced personnel costs and the number of material or ammunition depots across Canada. RG24 General Inventory
