One foldable banquet program in the form of a two-sided linocut, by Canadian artist Arthur Lismer, prepared for the 6th Annual Banquet of the York Bible Class, held at the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, 19 March 1930. The banquet program also comes with two enclosures; a printed notice concerning tickets and directions, as well as a song sheet.

York Bible Class : The York Bible Class of Toronto was founded on 2 February 1925, as a young men's organization. By 1929, it had 800 members, who met at the Central United Church. Members had to be in attendance one Sunday out of three, in order to retain their full membership status. The Class drew adherents from all parts of the city and welcomed men of all Christian denominations, as well as some members of the Jewish faith. For purposes of organization, the city was divided into three districts, each governed by a traditional organizational hierarchy, with the membership being further broken down into teams, each with a team captain. In addition to their participation at Sunday Services, these groups concerned themselves with helping the underprivileged, as well as promoting athletics, such as hockey, basketball and baseball. The main executive comprised a General Governing Council, also with a traditional organizational hierarchy, which included the heads of the three districts. Under the overall leadership of a Mr. Denton Massey, the Class came to be widely respected for its work, not only in Toronto, but throughout all of North America. Beginning in February 1927, the Class commenced broadcasting its Sunday Services over CFRB, a development which provided it with a far flung audience and an even higher profile in the Canadian Christian community.
