This study represents an attempt to obtain basic information about effects of cannabis and alcohol, alone or in combination, on tracking performance. Data were collected on the tracking performance of the subjects for each of six experimental drug conditions. Each week subjects were required to undergo two tracking trials after drug consumption. The first trial consisted of six tracking runs which included both compensatory (simple tracking) and complete tracking tasks. The second trial, which consisted of two simple tracking runs and one complex run; started four hours after drug administration. For simple tracking, the subjects dynamic responses were described by simple, linear differential equations, called "describing functions". Physiological and psychological measures, as well as tracking accuracy were obtained and included foot choice reaction time, reaction to polarity change, Clyde Mood Scale Ratings, Royal Highness Inventory scores, visual imagery, depth perception, visual acuity, time estimation, pulse rate, conjunctival injection, blood pressure, palmar tone skin conductance and blood alcohol level.
