Fonds consists of minutes, reports and other material for the first 25 years of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada are to be found in Volume 1. The remainder of the collection consists of a variety of reports and minutes from various meetings, conferences and committees. There are also membership applications plus correspondence, briefs and reports documenting liaison with a wide range of Canadian government departments and organizations throughout the world.

Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada : The Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada was founded in 1925 and incorporated by Letters Patent. The aims of the Association are (a) to assist in promoting satisfactory business relations between the members of the Association and their clients, (b) to promote cordial relations among the various consulting engineering firms in Canada, (c) to foster the interchange of professional, management and business experience and information among the members, (d) to safeguard the interests of the consulting engineer, and (e) to further the maintenance of high professional standards in the consulting engineering profession.

Membership is open to firms which are controlled and managed by individually registered consulting engineers under provincial statutes governing the practice of professional engineering.
