A profile of Canadian artist and filmmaker Michael Snow. Snow is visited in Venice where he is exhibiting his work in the Venice Biennale, an international art exhibition founded in 1895. Snow tours Venice (working on a new art project with a Polaroid colour camera) and talks about: his views on art and creativity in Canada today; his recent show in the National Gallery; his former work as a musician and jazz influences on his work; the exemplary life of the artist; his art as a product of his belief in the final apocalypse; his political views, still photography as an art form. His wife, Joyce Wieland, a painter and filmmaker, also appears. <30mn>
