Indian Health ServicesDescription :The story of Joe Lonecloud, a young Alberta reserve Indian with tuberculosis, who is sent to the Charles Camsell Indian Hospital at Edmonton and has some difficulty adapting to the white urban environment. He escapes to the reserve before failing health forces his return to hospital. After two years of treatment Joe is released. He takes a job in the city as an apprentice carpenter and takes up residence in a boarding house found for him, despite problems of racial discrimination, by Joe Moseley, an Indian Affairs rehabilitation officer.
