Canadian School Sports Federation : The Canadian School Sports Federation was founded as the Canadian Federation of Provincial School Athletic Associations. The objectives of this federation are to establish a system, whereby views may be shared and mutual problems discussed. Its chief duties include accepting and endorsing the various school athletic policies; and sponsoring meetings and publications which permit each provincial association to profit by the experience of all other member associations. The federation also acts as a clearing house for information, and provides a liaison between the member organizations and allied national athletic association. The federation changed its name to the Canadian School Sports Federation on 13 October 1979.
