This consists of several interview and actuality cuts recorded for the CBC radio series Our Canada, telling the story of the ordinary people, events and developments in the railways, wheatlands, waterways, mines, airways, industries, communications, arts, governments, philanthropies and religions that have shaped Canada. A man describes the medical care service provided for new settlers in Abitibi, Temiscamingue and other remote areas of Quebec. The Quebec government has organized a group of trained nurses to go to these areas. A man talks about the port of Trois-Rivières, Quebec (he calls it Three Rivers). There are actuality cuts as follows: machinery; jackhammer; train; crickets; whistle of train, ship or factory; machinery; and more crickets. A farmer in Compton County in the Eastern Townships of Quebec describes his farm.
