Scenes taken in and around Stratford, Ontario in 1930. Old Boys Reunion - On July 2, 1930 The Old Boys Reunion is held. The day opens with a parade of floats, shots of floats, many people and automobiles, banner reading "Tavistock Old Boys Reunion July 2". Band parading through street with cars parked all around, clowns and totally flower covered sedan in parade, huge swan on hood of car, one car bedecked with Red Cross flags, excellent shot of busy automobile traffic on downtown street, band parading to Town Hall. International Plowing Match, 1930 - Shots of clydesdale horses plowing single furrow as The International Plowing Match gets underway. Shots of two officials at plowing match, farmers, contestants, and businessmen forming a field of humanity. Shots of individual contestants competing, grandfather with two grandsons, early model Case tractor hauling sulky plow and being followed by just about everyone at the plowing match. Endless line of students filing out of high school. County fair with midway, woman wiping candy from boys hands. Skyway Flight advertisement: Stratford to: London $5.00 - Kitchener $4.00 - Woodstock $3.00 - Skyway Rides $2.00. Good shots of crowd at end of field where Skyways planes (JN-4 types) take people up for a ride, plane taxiing, parachute descending onto field as thrillseekers perform, Fokker plane on field, aerial over Stratford with sign on barn "Stratford Aiport" and planes parked nearby. Two silos still attached to barn. <5mn>
