Fonds consists of administration files which contain correspondence; by-laws; minutes; memoranda; clippings and other documents relating to the formation of the Federation, 1946-1949, volume 1, 15 cm; subject files containing correspondence, programmes and other documents relating to the N.F.M.A.C., N.F.M.C.U.S., Dalhousie Music Club and other music associations in Canada and the United States, 1922-1952, vols. 1-2, 15 cm; and a scrapbook containing correspondence, programmes, photographs, clippings and other documents relating to the Saint Cecilia Music Club of Gatineau, Quebec, 1946-1948, vols. 3-4, 10 cm.

Photographic material consists of gelatine prints which depict the following: group and individual photos of members and officers of the N.F.M.A.C., primarily in the Ottawa area; photographs of a meeting probably held in upstate New York; members of the Saint Cecilia Music Club of Gatineau Mills, (1946-1952); members of the N.F.M.A.C (1923-1952); Mrs. Thomas Alva Edison Edison with the poet Martha Martin, Chautauqua, New York.

National Federation of Music Associations of Canada : The National Federation of Music Associations of Canada (N.F.M.A.C.) was established in 1948 in close connection with the National Federation of Music Clubs of the United States (N.F.M.C.U.S.) The first president, Mrs. John C. Monty, had also been the first president of the Saint Cecilia Music Club of Gatineau Mills, Quebec, which was affiliated with the N.F.M.C.U.S. and which co-operated closely with the N.F.M.A.C.
