Fonds consists of personal papers of Bill Baker including a scrapbook of scripts, programmes and correspondence; clippings and printed material, n.d., 1928-1987.
The fonds also contains two sets of Toronto prints from CKFM and a caricature of Bill Baker, n.d. The photographs show early CFRB studios, equipment, and facilities; programming activities both in the studios and at remotes held in such arias as Sunnyside Beach and the Simpsons Auditorium; staff activities, both festive and professional; and various radio personalities such as Gordon Sinclair, Cy Strange, Kate Aitken, and Bill Baker. Most of the photographs are identified.

Also included is a sound recording of a tribute to Jack Dennett, broadcast by CFRB on the occasion of Mr. Dennett's death, 1975.

Baker, William H., born 1907 : After studying at Riverdale Collegiate in Toronto, Bill Baker helped build CFRB's first radio transmitter. In 1927 he was the first full time operator technician at the station. By 1929 he was at the controls for all CFRB's important sports broadcasts and Canadian network shows. In 1950 he became a member of the Quarter Century Club of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Later he was appointed to the position of Operations Director where he was in charge of the production and all operations connected with CFRB's remote broadcasts. He retired after spending 47 years at CFRB's radio station.
