Volume one, 1945-1953; volume two, 1954-1960.Provenance :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Saalheimer, Manfred, 1896-1967 : Manfred Saalheimer, community leader, was born and educated in Germany. He was a member of the Bavarian Bar and until 1939 served as legal advisor to the Association of Jewish Communities of Saxony in Dresden.
He joined the Canadian Jewish Congress in 1942. He directed the national operations of the United Restitution Organization for Canada and in this connection he made several trips to Europe on behalf of the Canadian Jewish Congress in 1957, 1960 and 1961. He helped coordinate the Canadian Jewish Congress war orphans project and went overseas in this connection 1947.
He was responsible for writing and editing a Congress publication, Information and Comment.
