Also recalled is Mr. Salsberg's visit to Jewish victims of the Holocaust in Europe in the late 1940s. References are made to the gravity of the black market situation in Allied-occupied Germany. Mr. Salsberg's meeting with his cousin in post W.W. II Germany, commenting all the while on social conditions in that country. In addition, he relates stories about the Jewish Holocaust, including his visit to the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen and life at the Auschwitz death camp.
