This is a profile of expatriate Canadian composer-arranger-conductor Percy Faith, who performs with his orchestra. Elwood Glover interviews Faith about his long career and methods of working. Faith conducts the orchestra in a selection of music arranged by him, including This Train, Temptation, Camelot March, Fiddler on the Roof, the theme from A Summer Place, Are You There?, Yesterday, Keystone Caper and Mexican Hat Dance, as well as a new version of O Canada. The special also features the orchestra playing hit songs by performers who used his arrangements, such as Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney and Sarah Vaughan. A chorus and the orchestra perform Good King Wenceslas. Shirley Harmer sings Embraceable You and Maybe September. Martine van Hamel dances to Celia's Waltz, composed by Faith as background music for the TV series THE VIRGINIAN. Kristina Sealander and Gunter Pick dance to a Faith arrangement of Younger Than Springtime. <1h>
