Canadian Broadcasting CorporationDescription :This is a broadcast of the ceremony of the proclamation of the accession of King George VI. A British Broadcasting Corporation announcer describes the scene from the roof of St. James Palace (6s). A trumpet fanfare follows. Sir Gerald W. Wollaston, Garter Principal, King-at-Arms, reads the proclamation of the accession of George VI following the abdication of King Edward VIII. This is followed by God Save the King, a fanfare and a 41 gun salute from Hyde Park.
