Host Philip Deane moderates a panel discussion of the moral and political issues involved and invites questions from the studio audience. Panel members Herbert Chitepo, a leading African nationalist from Rhodesia (now called Zimbabwe); Dr. Thomas Molnar, American professor, writer and spokesman for Rhodesia; and Professor Cranford Pratt of the University of Toronto, who has just returned from four years in Africa, express fundamentally different points of view on the Smith regime, the role of Britain, and the ability of Africans to govern themselves. Pratt points to the example of minority whites in three east African countries who have "accepted the direction of history" and conceded power to black rule. <30mn>Personnages :AFRICA~APARTHEID~HISTORY~POLITICS & GOVERNMENT~RHODESIA~SOUTH AFRICA~ZIMBABWE ~CHITEPO, HERBERT~DEANE, PHILIP~MOLNAR, THOMAS~PRATT, CRANFORD~SMITH, IANLangue :EnglishRemarques :Détails de l'inventaire : -
