The file consists of photographs documenting the professional and musical activities of the Huggett Family. Several pictures predate the formation of the Huggett Family as a professional ensemble and include pictures of Leslie and Margaret Huggett as students, their marriage, and photographs of Andrew, Jennifer, Ian, and Fiona as infants. Other photographs document the family's earliest musical activities including from their first performance at Brookside, NY, and a backstage photo from a concert in Honor Oak Rise in London, UK. Also included are photographs of Leslie Huggett with Shinichi Suzuki, founder of the Suzuki Method. The file also includes pictures from their life and travels in Crete as well as a photograph from a summer school in Celle, Germany. Noted bassoonist and instrument maker Otto Steinkopf, and recorder player Kees Otten are portrayed in the photograph from Celle, Germany.

The digital photographs in this file were made from scans of original, physical photographs and intended for use on the family's website. These are the only copies of the photographs that remain.

Each one of the physical photographs are inscribed on its verso with a brief description identifying the location or indivduals portrayed therein.

Note sur le classement :

The Huggett Family's professional career lasted from 1969 to 1982. The original order of the photographs were divided into their active years accordingly: all photographs before 1969 in one file, and a file for each year afterwards until 1982.
