Shots include a birthday banquet for Party leader Tim Buck, A.E. Smith, Fred Rose, Leslie Morris, A.A. MacLeod, Wally Dent, John W. Buckley, Dorise Nielson and Charles Sims. Working shots of Tim Buck at the National office include Sam Carr; Stanley Ryerson, J.B. Salsberg, Paul Phillips and Norman Freed. Additional shots include footage of the Tehran Conference, World War II, the signing of the Munich Pact and clips of the Depression in Canada. <10mn>~Speech in Toronto's Lord Simcoe Hotel to the 20th Convention of the Communist Party of Canada by Bill Kashtan, leader of the Party, summing up the policies drafted at the convention and highlighting the future struggles of the Party.~A speech in Toronto's Lord Simcoe Hotel to the 20th Convention of the Communist Party of Canada by Tim Buck, long-time Party leader and activist, describing in detail Lenin's contribution to international socialism. Among the wide range of topics discussed are; the Bolshevists' early days; imperial criticism; dialectical materialism; and anarchal syndicalism.~Reception held at R.B. Russel Auditorium in Winnipeg, hosted by Alderman Joe Zuken, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike. A tribute is paid to W.A. Pritchard with excerpts of his speech to the jury in 1920 being read. The main speaker, Tim Buck, long-time leader of the Communist Party of Canada, describes the events of the strike; its historical implications; the current Air Canada machinists' strike, wage parity with U.S. workers; regressive taxation methods of the government, and calls for a withdrawal of U.S. forces from Vietnam.~Polly, a secretary, makes a video confession where she depicts her relationship with her employer, Gabrielle, the owner and curator of an art gallery.
