Fonds consists of minutes, meeting materials and correspondence of the Board of Directors and various other committees; the Board manual, by-laws, and policies; documents related to the organization's incorporation; audited financial statements; and volunteer and donor recruitment materials.

The Endowment Campaign series contains documents related to the national Branching Out Campaign including campaign preparation, planning and reports, donor solicitations, proposals, volunteer-related materials and records related to campaign work undertaken in various Canadian provinces, territories, and cities.

The Subject Files series contains records covering the pre-endowment campaign period, administrative, financial and fundraising matters, and records related to the relationship between LEAF and the LEAF Foundation.

Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) Foundation : The Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) Foundation is an incorporated, registered charitable organization established in 1989 to create an endowment fund to provide long-term financial assistance to the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF). LEAF is an independent charitable organization whose mission is to ensure substantive equality for women through Charter litigation, law reform, and public education. The LEAF Foundation operates independently from LEAF through its own Board of Directors.

The LEAF Foundation raised money for the endowment fund through its national Branching Out Campaign in the early 1990s. Currently the LEAF Foundation holds an investment portfolio comprised of bequests, endowed gifts, and significant corporate donations. From the earnings on its investments, the LEAF Foundation annually grants funds to LEAF, which provides a base for some of LEAF's core operating and program needs.
