Series documents the medical research conducted by Dr. Robert Jackson throughout his career as a physician and orthopaedic surgeon. Much of this content is highlighted in the textual documents and photographs related to areas of research on the practice of arthroscopy as a surgical method, different areas of the body such as knees, joints, tendons, and spinal cords, as well as other subject matter consisting of advancements in technology for surgical procedures, development of surgical tools, and commentary related to health care systems in both the United States and Canada. Some of the research papers within the series also touch on matters related to sport medicine and athletes' health concerns, including the impact of playing surfaces on sport injuries and implications on recovery time for athletes.
