This series consists of subject files that pertain to the implementation and marketing of various services offered on CN/constituent railway passenger trains. Examples include working agreements for Grand Trunk Western Dining Car Cooks, Waiters and Porters (late 1950s); rationalization and implementation plans for transcontinental and inter-city commuter services (1970s); CN standards for lunch and other services offered in buffet lounge, club and galley cars; standards for china, Christmas place mats, linen, etc., used by Customer and Catering Services; memos re: the provision of public radio telephone service (mid-1960s); multi-lingual menus for use on immigrant trains (1962); notices re: the diminishment of customer services offered on trains during the late 1960s/early 1970s; Passenger Marketing regional re-organization plans (1977); annual staff meetings (1967-1970) and surveys re: the effect of Bill C-120 (Status of the Official Languages of Canada) on CN's passenger services (1969).
