File consists of an interview with Pablo Fajardo and Steven Donziger titled "Waiting for justice in the Amazon rain forest." The interview was conducted by Silver Donald Cameron as part of The Green Interview. File includes video of the interview, printed transcript, and closed captioning file.

From the interview: "The greater Amazon Basin-including Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador-viewed from the air is like a giant broccoli of a forest that is so beautiful, so diverse, so full of life it contains not only a diversity of plants and animals, but of people; human beings that have lived here their entire lives. For the native peoples who have always lived in the Amazon Basin, it's not just their land, it's their supermarket, their pharmacy, their home; the place where they exist in absolute freedom. They lived from and took from the forest only what they needed because they didn't want more. They had everything. They had their entire lives. Of course, they had freedom, total freedom. Whenever one talks to the elders or any of the native peoples, whether Secoya, Cofán, they say that is the most serious thing that the oil industry took from them. They say, 'Now we are not free. Before we could move freely through the forest across the rivers without any problems. Now we are not free.'"

From The Green Interview website: Pablo Fajardo, the young lawyer from eastern Ecuador who sued Chevron for polluting a huge tract of Amazon rain forest, and won a $9.5 billion judgment in Ecuador's Supreme Court. In Spanish, with translation.

Pablo Fajardo, an Ecuadorian native of Cofán descent, rose above extreme poverty to become the lead lawyer against Chevron Corporation, representing thousands of natives in Lago Agrio, the centre of the oil industry in eastern Ecuador and the epicenter of one of the biggest ecological crimes of all time.

Steven Donziger is Pablo Fajardo's US-based colleague, a former journalist and Harvard-educated lawyer who gained prominence in 1993 when he joined the legal team working on the "Chevron-Toxico" case.
