Video consist of interviews with the President of Local 672 at Dow Chemical Keith McMillian, and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers (CEP) union National president Glen Sonie who both worked in Sarnia, Ontario or better known as "Chemical Valley". Each one discusses how dirty and unsafe the plants used to be when they both started working and how with the help of the union, the workplace has become safer and employees' health is now a top issue with companies. Glen also shows old pictures from the Fiberglass factory, that demonstrates just how terrible the working conditions were. came together to fight for better and safer working conditions within the plant. He also discusses how the oil plants within Sarina came into the union, which resulted in the union becoming stronger and better off for it. Glen also discusses how the union has worked with the community of Sarnia to show that they also care about them just as much as the workers inside the plant. Interview moves to a bar where other CEP unions members are interviewed, but also non union members who discuss how having a union like CEP has actually benefited other contract negotiations, because everyone knows what everyone else is asking for when it comes time to renew the collective agreements. <119mn 18s>
