This sub-series consists of Michigan Central Railroad photos that were compiled by Andrew Merrilees. In the first album, there is an introductory note: "The photographs of the following pages represent an almost complete pictorial history of the motive power of the Canada Division of the New York Central System." (Dated March 4, 1955) While the majority of photos are of locomotives relating to the Michigan Central Railroad, New York Central Railroad, and the Canada Southern Railroad, there are wide variety of exceptions, including views of station, equipment, rolling stock, shop interiors, trestle bridges.

Additionally, there is other material, including: several pages of logos including 2 pages of MCRR and Canada Southern logos numerous drawings, 1 page of original manuscript, and a conductor's collections for Leamington & St. Clair Railway.
