Jean Price Mars fut le fondateur de la Société africaine de culture, mais avant tout, le vrai père du concept de la négritude. Qui pourrait mieux parler à cette occasion de Price Mars, que le President Senghor du Sénégal, poète, humaniste et chantre de la négritude, dont le soixante-dixième anniversaire, coïncidait avec ce centenaire.
