According to notes in the original finding aid for accessions 1973-357 & 1974-366, item numbers from this collection should be formatted as YEAR-##. The order was reversed in these photo captions. They have been added to this record in correct order to match the item numbers in the Loose departmental photographs and negatives sub-sub-series.
The individuals in item no. 1949-41 were identified as Caroline Novalinga (child behind Cst. Van Blarcom) and Shovia Eyatiuk (woman standing behind the child) through Project Naming. The goal of this project is to identify and record the names of people, places, activities and events in photographs held at Library and Archives Canada.
