Department of National DefenceGénérique (équipe de production) :intervieweur, John MacFarlaneDescription :Fernand Lainé a participé à une entrevue avec John MacFarlane dans le cadre du projet Histoire des autochtones dans les Forces Armées canadiennes de la Direction - Histoire et patrimoine de la Défense nationale. L'entrevue s'est déroulée le 25 septembre 2001 à Wendake, QC.L'entrevue débute avec M. Lainé qui raconte comment il est conscrit par l'armée en 1942, les différents lieux de ses entrainements et son départ pour l'Angleterre en 1943. M. Lainé traverse ensuite sur le continent où il prend part aux opérations comme conducteur de Bren Carrier, poste qu'il occupe jusqu'à la fin de la guerre. Il reviendra ensuite à Wendake.
