This material was transferred to the Archives by the Geological Information Division of the Geological Survey of Canada in Nov 1981.

Material from RG45M 83403/21 was initially described in one series which identified five distinct groups. These groups were assigned a letter designation - A series, B series, C series, D series, and E series - and the items were assigned numbers beginning with this series designation. In 2019 the description of this material was updated to reflect these groups and five individual series were created.

Items in this series are numbered with the series designation, followed by the publication number of the resulting published map, followed by the item number for each manuscript related to the publication. Ex. B-352-7 refers to the seventh manuscript used to create publication number 352 in the B series.

Scales differ.

No further accruals are expected.
