A newly reconstructed family moves into a converted church in the country. They have 3 children: Jean’s 14-year-old daughter Molly and younger son Michael and Dave’s six-year-old daughter Heather, who has not spoken since a fire killed her mother. Upon exploring their new land, the kids discover an old cemetery behind their home and Heather becomes obsessed with a tombstone bearing her initials. Heathers behaviour becomes unsettling as she develops a toxic friendship with what Molly suspects to be the spirit of a young girl who also lost her parents in a tragic fire over a hundred years ago. Molly seems to be the only one who sees this and tries to alert Jane and Michael, to no avail. She is thus forced to take matters into her own hands, while Heather doesn’t make things easy for her step sister. <90mn>
