This sub-series consists of photographs created or maintained by the Canadian National Railway Public Relations Department. There is a diverse range of subject material covering over a time-frame of over a century.
There are a very large number of photographs of ships from Canada Steam Ship Lines and CN, showing transportation through the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway, ocean liners from various companies including Cunard and Allan Lines on visit or traveling to Europe and Caribbean during 1960s through 1970s.
There are also a number of photographs showing the exteriors and interiors of various CN hotels.
Vol. 15816 consists of a file containing colour photographs showing various aspects of Winnipeg's Fort Garry Hotel, such as the restaurant, bar, concert hall, dining room, hotel suite, and bedrooms. Also in this volume are 2 files consisting of colour photographs dining rooms, bedrooms and furniture at Nova Scotian Hotel, Halifax, N.S., 1955 and 1973. Also there are colour photographs of various ships A-S.
