This accession consists of photographs created to document the operations of RCAF Station Uplands / CFB Ottawa (South), and the air squadrons based there. Subjects depicted include flying operations, exercises, and air equipment, including a variety of military aircraft, the operations of the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE), and military events at the base and around Ottawa, ON. A large amount of photographs depict VIP visits to Ottawa by senior military staff and foreign leaders and notable personalities, and ceremonies. With the unification of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCAF Station Uplands was renamed CFB Uplands in 1968, and CFB Ottawa (South) in 1972.
