The series documents the activities of Lépine as a television journalist and broadcaster. It includes his personal files related to the creation and production of Radio-Canada's investigative and international public affairs programmes, "Zone Libre "(1998-2007) and "Une Heure sur Terre" (2007-2013). The files related to "Zone Libre" includes reports and analysis of the important American and European public affairs shows of the time, broadcast scripts, a photograph of Lépine with Stéphane Bureau et Bernard Derome as well as other notes and documents collected by Lépine for the show.

The series also includes Lépine's files for each of the 132 shows of "Une Heure sur Terre". The files include presentation cards, filming schedules, notes, emails between guests and journalists regarding news stories, research documents, etc. Documents relating to the planning for the programming for each year of the show are also found in the series. These files include summaries of production and planning meetings, email exchanges between members of the team responsible for the show and between Lépine and Radio-Canada's management regarding the resources required for the show, calendars for the shows, lists of possible topics, etc.

Other journalistic activities of Lépine are also documented in the files related to this involvement in a documentary on Claude Ryan and in the television series "Mémoires de Pierre Elliott Trudeau". They include transcripts of interviews of Lépine with many Canadian and Quebec personalities who provide their personal reflections on different aspects of the former Quebec journalist and politician's life and career, as well as research notes used for the production of the documentary Claude Ryan, un homme engagé. Other files document Lépine's roles as interviewer and narrator for the Trudeau series. Finally, the series also include a few files relating to a series of news reports done by Lépine in China in 2006
