This file contains architectural and design drawings of the ALCAN-Dolphin Pool (Key Reference 511) and the ALCAN-Montreal Aquarium (Key Reference 512) which were designed and built for Expo 67. These structures were intended to be permanent buildings located in Expo Area: La Ronde. The Dolphin Pool was a circular building consisting of two elements: a one story, 950 seat arena with an oval-shaped pool for dolphin show performances, and a two storey holding tank building to quarter the dolphins. The Aquarium was a multilevel building containing a variety of exhibits on marine life. Both buildings were jointly sponsored by the Aluminum Company of Canada Limited and the City of Montreal. The design architect was George F. Eber, Montreal. Project Type: National and Private Participants = Participants nationaux et privés.
