This is a preliminary description; please consult the linked accessions.

Accession consists of a "collection of bound minutes and proceedings of NRC committees" that was maintained by the NRC for historical reference purposes.

The collection is organized alphabetically by topic. The topics included are varied and sundry; aviation security, amputations and artificial limbs, and ammonium nitrate fertilizer are but a few examples of operational topics beginning with the letter "a," and administrative topics such as audit and administration are also included. The records for any given topic typically consist of minutes, proceedings, technical reports, or annual reports, reviews, synopses. Other genres of records occasionally included are bibliographies, literature summaries, lists, registers, bulletins, miscellaneous abstracts, and more.

Note that some committee records included in this collection name specific grants and inventions on a multitude of topics; this may be especially true of the minutes of: several granting committees, the industrial research assistance meetings, various subcommittees on patents, and the inventions board.

Note that not all committees whose records were included in this collection were NRC committees, strictly speaking. Also included are materials from other committees including, but not limited to, the Sub-Committee of the Privy Council on Scientific and Industrial Research, and the Executive Committee of the Canadian Research Institute of Launderers and Cleaners.
