This accession consists of the Gatineau Park Slide Library which was managed by the Visitor Services Section of the Gatineau Park Division. The slide library was used as a reference tool by NCC employees and documents operations, natural resources, plants, insects and animal species within Gatineau Park and the Greenbelt.

The slides are arranged according to subject category. Subject categories include, but are not limited to, slides and photographs concerning mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, fish, insects, other invertebrates, lower (non-vascular) plants, herbaceous plants, woody plants and conifers, hardwoods, physical environment, astronomy, ecosystems, seasons, accommodations and visitor services, conservation, visitor activities, management of land and programs, images of the capital, other parks and agencies, human impact: past and present, graphics, special effects and atmospheric scenes, domestic animals, and maintenance work.
