Photographs document members of the Canadian Branch of the American Phytopathological Society (APS). The photographs depict men posed, seated and standing, inside a greenhouse, wearing three-piece suits. Some of the men smoke cigars. The first photograph depicts 21 men, standing and seated; the second photograph depicts 5 men, standing in a line. Detailed hand-written annotations accompanying the photographs lists each man by name. Stamp on verso of photographs: "Department of Environmental Biology, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada."

Second copy of each photographs is mounted on paper with scotch tape.

The CPS received the photographs from plant pathologist Blair H. MacNeill. Hand-written annotations indicate that the photographs were originally the property of Professor D.R. Sands, University of Guelph.
