Recherche dans la collection - RCMP Band scores [textual record, graphic material]

Accession consists of the published and unpublished musical scores of songs, marches, orchestral pieces and recordings produced by the RCMP Band and the various solo artists and ensembles drawn from it.

These records were sent to the National Archives by the RCMP archives who received responsibility for the records of the RCMP Band when it was disbanded in 1993. At that time contract employees of the RCMP Archives assembled and shipped the accession of musical scores to the National Archives in oversized boxes. Records were reboxed by the National Archives. At that time it became evident that there were large gaps in the musical arrangements which had been sent; for many pieces only the first page for each instrument was sent. The rest of the arrangement is no longer in existence.
