The records in this accession consist of miscellaneous scrapbooks, ledgers and some photographs accumulated in the Banting Library of the Health Protection Branch.
The photographs in this accession include: group and individual portraits of laboratory staff (some unidentified); Health and Welfare buildings and mobile labs; and photos relating to inspection of a poultry farm, and the testing of food samples.
The textual records in this accession are scrapbooks and ledgers. The scrapbooks contain newspaper and magazine articles on nutrition and cures and drugs, copies of drug and vitamin labels, and general news clippings relating to the Food and Drugs Directorate. The ledgers contain scientific data on tests on arsenicals, herbicides and pesticides.

These records were collected from several sources by the Banting Library of the Health Protection Branch, Health Canada.
