The records in this accession consist of registry files from the Office of the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Corporate Management Branch. The majority of the files consist of committee files (for such committees as the Departmental Executive Committee and the Senior Advisory Committee on Management Practices), general subject files on departmental programs and a group of organizational files from the office of the ADM of the former Administration Branch. The accession also includes the Communication Directorate's News Releases from August 1989 to December 1993.

Also included in the accession are records related to the the Office of the Minister as well as that of the Deputy Minister, including: copies of the Deputy Minister's letters (November 1977 - September 1990); copies of ministerial correspondence (February 1984 - September 1990); and correspondence to and from the Minister's Office (July 1983- March 1989).
