Accession consists of irrigation surveys and plans created and/or maintained by the Department of the Interior.

The accession includes, but is not limited to, a contour plan of a proposed irrigation system in southwest Calgary; a sketch showing the proposed method of diverting water from the Elbow River (which flows from the Canadian Rockies to the city of Calgary) into the North Fork of Fish Creek through the Sarcee Indian Reserve; a map to illustrate the system of the Canadian Irrigation surveys (Alberta) running through the Blackfoot, Blood and Sarcee Indian Reserves; elevation and plan of dam on Manybones Creek (Saskatchewan), Cottonwood Creek (Alberta) Wascana Creek (Saskatchewan), Moosejaw (Saskatchewan) and Boggy Creek (Saskatchewan). Surveys and plans by J.T. Child, CE (Chief Engineer), O. Yorke, CE (Chief Engineer), and J.S. Dennis, DLS (Dominion Land Survey). Arthur O. Wheeler is indicated as being in charge of Irrigation Surveys.
